Training
The chairman of the company, Mark Pickston, believes that it is imperative to invest in the training and coaching of the employees to ensure that they are given the right tools with which to perform their role to the best of their ability.
In partnership with Damar Training, we are now offering all staff (subject to eligibility) access to the Horizon Finance Customer Service Programme. Depending on your age and prior qualifications this is your opportunity..
- Improve your skills and gain either a customer service apprenticeship qualification at level 2 and 3 or an NVQ at level 2..all at no cost to you!
- A level 2 apprenticeship is equivalent to 5 GCSE's at grades A-C (including maths and English).
- A level 3 apprenticeship is equivalent 2 "A" levels
Most of the training is carried out on a one to one basis at work - a Damar assessor will normally visit you once a month for about 2 hours. Courses generally last between 6 and 12 months.
The training is not an easy option and some additional work outside office hours is required. However, as part of our commitment to training and development, we are keen for members of staff who have successfully completed their probationary period and qualify for government funding to participate.
